Tugboat strike in the Port of Casablanca, Morocco
The ITF affiliate, the Maritime Federation of the UMT in Morocco has requested solidarity action in support of striking tugboat workers in the Port of Casablanca. These workers are demanding payment of over-time, worked in excess of 48 hours and weekends and they have been on strike for 50 days.
The ITF has sent a letter of protest to:

We urge all affiliated unions representing seafarers and dockers to send similar letters in French (see below for model letter in English and French) with a copy to the ITF and the Maritime Federation of the UMT via fax: +212(0) 222 43714.
