Page context: The DHL Workers’ Week

BACKGROUND

A week of activities by and for DHL workers and their unions designed to strengthen, publicise and spread the Respect campaign – and to put the company on notice that it’s time to talk to unions. The week is part of a joint campaign for rights for all DHL workers, irrespective of where they work or whether they’re directly employed or a subcontractor

The campaign has grown out of the DHL Workers’ Network set up in February 2009 by global union federations the ITF (International Transport Workers’ Federation) and UNI (Union Network International).

The ITF represents 656 unions with almost 5 million members in 148 countries. UNI, the global union for skills and services, represents 2.5 million workers from the postal sector.
