ITF comment on BA strike dates

Commenting on the setting of dates for further strike action, ITF Civil Aviation Section Secretary Gabriel Mocho said: “There is a wider, global context to this dispute. We are very concerned about the impact on what is a customer-focused industry. We and trade unions internationally are concerned too about the management style being demonstrated – which has galvanised support among those unions for their colleagues at BA”
He continued: “Assisted by the TUC, Unite have made strenuous efforts to resolve this dispute. BA’s management seems to be snubbing that opportunity for peace. This should concern the airline’s shareholders, investors and the travelling public.”
