ITF and Unite to meet Spanish unions about BA

A delegation including ITF and Unite officials is travelling to Madrid today to discuss the ongoing dispute involving British Airways cabin crew and its impact on the merger between British Airways and the Spanish flag carrier, Iberia.
Graham Stevenson, National Organiser for Transport at Unite and a member of the ITF’s Executive Board, together with ITF Civil Aviation Secretary Gabriel Mocho, will meet with top leaders from the transport federations of Spain’s biggest unions, UGT and CC.OO.
Between them, UGT and CC.OO members represent 68 per cent of the Iberia workforce.
Miguel Angel Cilleros Sanchez, General Secretary of the UGT’s Federación de Transportes, Comunicación y Mar and Enrique Fossoul, General Secretary of the Federacion de Servicios a la Ciudadana de Comisiones Obreras (FSC-CCOO), will attend this key meeting, which takes place tomorrow, in the Spanish capital.
