Protest for democracy at Nepalese Embassy in London

The British Trades Union Congress (TUC) and international trade union organisation the ITF are organising a picket for democracy at the Nepalese Embassy in London today at 12:00, February 10.
The demonstration at the Royal Nepalese Embassy at 12A, Kensington Palace Gardens, London W8 4QU is in protest at the suspension of democratic and trade union rights in the country, following the declaration of an absolute monarchy. At police request the protest will not be held outside the embassy. It will take place at Kensington Court, opposite the South entrance to Kensington Palace Gardens (nearest tube Kensington High Street).
A letter from TUC General Secretary Brendan Barber will be delivered to the Embassy by Owen Tudor, head of the TUC’s European Union and International Relations Department (copy available from TUC press office).
