ITF expresa su enorme alegría por el galardón concedido a Osanloo y a su sindicato

La ITF tiene el orgullo de felicitar tanto a Mansour Osanloo como a Vahed, el sindicato representante de los conductores de bus de Teherán que preside, tras conocerse que recibirán el premio Silver Rose, otorgado por Solidar.
El Silver Rose Award reconoce los logros de individuos y organizaciones cuya lucha contribuye de manera destacada a la justicia social en el mundo. Solidar (www.solidar.org) es una alianza europea de organizaciones laborales y sociales, reconocida por la OIT.
La ITF y la Confederación Sindical Internacional (CSI), que postularon a Mansour Osanloo y al sindicato Vahed como candidatos al galardón, se declaran muy satisfechas con la decisión.
Mac Urata, secretario de la Sección de Transporte Interior de la ITF, ha comentado:"Nosotros, y todo aquel que apoye la campaña por la justicia de los trabajadores y de las trabajadoras iraníes, nos sentimos justificadamente satisfechos con la noticia de este bien merecido premio."
“Lamentablemente,” continúa, “es poco probable que Mansour pueda acudir en persona a la ceremonia de entrega que se celebra en el Parlamento Europeo de Bruselas en octubre, porque continúa injustamente encarcelado. De hecho, la última mala noticia que hemos recibido indica que, en lugar de ser trasladado al hospital para recibir tratamiento por los problemas oftalmológicos que padece, ha sido transferido a la prisión Rajai Shahr, en la ciudad de Karaj. Esto nos recuerda lo lejos que debemos llegar para poder ayudar a Mansour y a sus colegas. Pero, al menos por un día, podemos regocijarnos con la buena noticia del galardón y el reconocimiento mundial a la labor que están desempeñando los hombres y mujeres de buena voluntad dentro del Irán."
