Iranian journalist released
29 August 2008
The ITF has learned that Iranian journalist, Ali Reza Saghafi, who was detained by Iranian authorities earlier this week, was released without bail from Evin prison last night.
ITF Assistant General Secretary Stuart Howard stated: “We were glad that the Iranian authorities saw sense and terminated his unjust detention, and once again call on them to do the same with the many, many others – including Mansour Osanloo – who are suffering because they have dared to claim their human right to speak freely.”
