Two more directors leave Maersk

Further clear-out of the old guard.
Two senior directors are leaving their positions at AP-Moller Maersk, in a move seen by some as a further clearing out of the old guard and the ushering in of a new management under new CEO Nils Smedegaard Andersen. Henrik Ramskov and Gaurav Bansal are the latest in a string of senior executives to leave in the past year.
Ramskov was head of the Maersk Logistics unit. It has a turnover of some US$3bn but has struggled with profitability in recent years. He is replaced by Dutchman Rolf Habben-Jansen, who was recruited from the DHL freight company.
Gaurav Bansal, who headed AP Moller-Singapore, the biggest shipping group in Singapore, is being replaced by Maersk Line Vice President Bjarne Foldager.
According to the Børsen daily, Maersk Logistics was separated from Maersk Line in the hope that it could become a global player that in time would be better placed to compete with the biggest on the market.
