This is a major conference of women from the ITF's member unions.
Women workers and their representatives from airlines, road transport, railways, the ports sector, seafaring and other transport sectors draw up strategies in preparation for the ITF's regional meetings this year and the 42nd ITF Congress in Mexico City August 2010. The Conference will take as its theme "Making Unions Stronger" which is a discussion documents with the intention of forming the basis of congress documentation. ITF is encouraging all its affiliates to discuss and respond to the question raised in the document and to advise the Secretariat on priorities arising. The Conference will also provide a chance for unions to reviw the ITF's work for women and will include presentations and panel discussion on the different transport modes and world regions. |
