A Start-up Conference is meant to give the major input to the content of the project activities and the follow-up actions. It will involve female and male trade union officials from transport trade unions all over the EU, including the Candidate countries (Croatia, Turkey).

Two regional workshops shall serve as appropriate level for an effective transfer of information and best practice. They will involve two country sub-groups:

1. a Nordic sub-group - Nordic and Baltic states: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Sweden
   
   
2. a South European sub-group: Bulgaria, Croatia, FYR Macedonia, Italy, Romania, Spain, Turkey
   

The selection of a limited, regional based, number of countries (14) for the workshops will allow better focus and better possibility for transfer of experience in regions marked by a certain cultural similarity.

As the project is concluded, a follow-up phase will look into the North-South political dynamics and will ensure that experiences gained during the project are discussed in other country groups (Central European Member States).
