ETF statement solidarity Polish drivers

2 April 2009

On Tuesday, March 31, two Polish drivers working for Schavemaker Transport in Breda, the Netherlands, were violently pulled from their trucks and beaten with iron rods by the security staff hired by the company. The Polish section of Schavemaker Transport has been on strike since Friday to protest harsh working conditions, and a derisory 700 Euro pay they receive monthly, regardless of the number of hours worked.

The ETF expresses its full solidarity with the striking workers in Breda. The ETF denounces violence against the Polish drivers!

Please find below the ETF Statement as a related document.
