ETF Statement: European Parliament votes in favour of the inclusion of self-employed drivers

Yesterday, the European Parliament voted in favour of the inclusion of self-employed drivers within the scope of Directive 2002/15/EC on the organisation of the working time of persons performing mobile road transport activities.
This comes only months after a similar response, by the European Economic and Social Committee, vis-à-vis a report by the European Commission1 on which basis the European institutions will have to consider extending the scope of the directive to the above mentioned category of drivers.Related documents:
