Income Supervisor (C1) Finance 

The International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) is a London-based international federation of around 700 transport trade unions in 150 countries representing over 4.5 million transport workers is looking for an Income Supervisor to be based in London and to start as soon as possible. 

Duties and responsibilities

The Income Supervisor will manage all transactions relating to income, assisted by a Finance Assistant (income support), and working closely with the Senior Finance Assistant, and Finance Assistant (payments support). The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing the work delegated to the Finance Assistant (income support), as well as providing cover for the Payments Supervisor, and reporting to and supporting the Financial Controller.

Experience required

Proven experience in high level communication skills, both verbally and in writing are essential plus a proven ability in developing positive relationships with organisations and individuals across diverse cultures. Understanding of accounts to trial balance, excellent reconciliation skills, knowledge of accounting software and supervisory experience. A studier or part-qualified accountant is desirable, but a good level of general education and experience and a keen interest in aspects of the role would also be welcomed.

Conditions

The post is graded C1 which covers steps 14 to 19 on the ITF salary scale, with a salary range of £36,282.00 per annum plus an annual bonus of £3,023.50,rising to £44,075.00 per annum plus an annual bonus of £3,672.92. Annual leave will start at 22 days per annum pro-rata in the year of joining.

It is anticipated that interviews for this position will take place November 2017.

                       Management Accountant (D3) Finance

The International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) is a London-based international federation of around 700 transport trade unions in 150 countries representing over 4.5 million transport workers is looking for a Management Accountant  to be based in London and to start as soon as possible.

Duties and responsibilities

The Management Accountant will report to the Management and Systems Accountant, and support them with the delivery of budgets, forecasts, monthly management packs and annual accounts.  Assist the Management and Systems Accountant in supporting the accounting part of the Internal Auditor role wit process, reporting, audit file preparation and improvements.

Experience required

Proven experience in high level communication skills, both verbally and in writing are essential plus a proven ability in developing positive relationships with organisations and individuals across diverse cultures.  Good knowledge of accounting systems and integration, basic knowledge of budgets and management packs, intermediary knowledge of excel and word and knowledge of accounting software. A studier or part-qualified accountant is desirable, but a good level of general education and experience and a keen interest in aspects of the role would also be welcomed.

Conditions

The post is graded D3 which covers steps 12 to 17 on the ITF salary scale, with a salary range of £33,250.00 per annum plus an annual bonus of £2,770.83,rising to £40,775.00 per annum plus an annual bonus of £3,397.92. Annual leave will start at 22 days per annum pro-rata in the year of joining. It is anticipated that interviews for this position will take place November 2017.

                                   Campaign Lead (C3)

          Supply Chain and Logistics Organising Projects Department    

                                           (SCALOP)

The International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF), a Global Union Federation of around 700 transport trade unions in 150 countries representing over 4.5 million workers, is looking for a Campaign Lead(C3) to join the Supply Chain and Logistics Organising Projects Department (SCALOP) to be based in London and to start as soon as possible.

Duties and responsibilities

This is a challenging role working within the Supply Chain and Logistics Organising Projects team on priority projects with the goal of supporting union in developing effective organising campaigns to win organising rights and raise standards of workers and, in addition, to increase ITF and union capacity to develop and implement strategic organising campaigns. This role will ensure appropriate direction, support and momentum for organising campaigns and providing support for and accountability of field staff.

Experience required

Relevant experience in implementing strategic organising campaigns, including shop floor, transnational and community organising components in a trade union context is essential. Fluent written and spoken English is also essential and due to the nature of the organisation and role  other language skills will be beneficial.

The post is graded C3 which covers steps 18 to 23 on the ITF salary scale, with a salary range of £42,392.00 per annum plus an annual bonus of £3,532.67, rising to £50,777.00 per annum plus an annual bonus of £4,231.42. Annual leave will start at 22 days per annum pro-rata in the year of joining. Other benefits and allowances may be payable depending on circumstances and experience.
