Calculate your duty time

Maximum duty time and minimum rest time are put in place to avoid fatigue occurring either on a flight, on successive flights, or accumulated over a period of time. Ryanair aeroplanes are all registered in Ireland, so the Irish Aviation Authority is in charge of this regulation. It is irrelevant where a crew member is currently based.

Ryanair compared to other airlines

An ITF/ETF survey of junior cabin crew employed by some of the unionised full service airlines in countries in which Ryanair operates, shows that Ryanair is one of the worst offenders for offering the poorest terms and conditions for these particular workers. All in all, Ryanair compares unfavourably with the unionised companies, something which is not surprising given that academic research has shown that unionised companies generally offer better terms and conditions than those not unionised.
