Page context: Ryan-Be-Fair > News archive > Trade union representative wins against Ryanair
Ryanair dismissed a trade union representative in Santander and the Union, CC.OO. immediately tried to renegotiate his reinstatement. The company refused and instead took the Union to court claiming that the election process was flawed.
The Labour Court has now given its verdict and it clearly states that the elections were absolutely legal and correct, the company was aware of the rights of the delegate as they granted him representation rights on several occasions before, it is showing an antiunionrights attitude and is retaliating against a legal workers representative, and the employee has to be immediately reinstated in his former workplace.
