Railway workers' unions all over the world will take a variety of actions to appeal for the importance of railway safety under the slogan:

"Safety First! Unions campaigning for the global future of rail".

For further details, please email Mac Urata, Section Secretary,
ITF Inland Transport Sections.

As discussed at the ITF Railway Workers' Section Conference held in Bangkok in November 2004, this event will be the starting point for a longer-term ITF campaign to promote railways throughout the world.
