ITF Circular No.145/Rt.19/2005

6 September 2005

Dear Friends,

ITF Survey on International Drivers

Based on the decision at our recent Annual Meeting of the ITF Road Transport Workers' Section in June 2005, I am sending you our survey on international drivers which should be organised in conjunction with the forthcoming Action Week, 10-16 October 2005.  We kindly request the relevant unions to print this document in bulk for distribution.  The survey is available in:

As the document states, please kindly return all replies to the ITF by the end of October 2005.  We anticipate to produce a report of the survey in due course.  Please also note that next year, the ILO will be holding its tripartite sectoral meeting on social and labour issues affected by problems of cross-border mobility of international drivers in the road transport sector.  Your cooperation on this survey would therefore be very important.

Should you have any queries on this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me at any time.

Yours in solidarity,

Mac Urata
Section Secretary
ITF Inland Transport Sections
