Trade unionists all over Spain will take part in symbolic work place stoppages, general assemblies and rallies. These activities are jointly organised by ITF affiliates CC.OO and UGT to call for rights at work, international solidarity, and to campaign against the EU working time directive and against poverty and inequality.

Kenya
ITF affiliates in Nairobi will be marking this day with the ITUC Africa and the Kenya National Labour Centre (COTU). A workers march to the Kenyatta International Conference Center will culminate with a symposium where top Government officials including the Ministery of Labour as well as the Prime Minister are expected to attend.
