Thailand
The State Railway Workers' Union of Thailand organised various activities on 27 March. The Action Day started at 10:00 with the gathering of 300 members at the Railway's Headquarters in Bangkok to pay respects to the first Governor of the State Railway of Thailand. Participants then marched to the Central Bangkok Railway Station where an opening ceremony was held at 12:00. Other activities at the station included an exhibition, leafleting of passengers, a music performance, games and distribution of souvenirs and gifts. Branches organised similar activities around the country including Pisanulok Province in the Northern part of the country, in U-bon Tachathani Province in the North Eastern part of the country and in Chumporn Province in the Southern part. Spain
CC.OO and UGT, together with their French colleagues CGT organised a demonstration at the French-Spanish border of Port Bou-Cerbère. More than 140 people participated in the demonstration, which went from the railway station to the Town Hall in Port Bou. Speeches were made and a press conference was held. A solidarity meal was organised for all participants.

At the Spanish-Portuguese border of Badajoz-Elvas, approximately 40 activists from CC.OO and the Portuguese union, SNTSF-CGTP gathered. A joint statement was read and a press conference was held. (Email report by Antonio Gámez)

Luxembourg
Under the slogan "Safety First!" representatives from FNCTTFEL together with their colleagues from the German union, Transnet, the French unions, CGT and FO and the Belgian union, CGSP gathered at Luxembourg station for a rally. (Email report by Jos Emeringer)
