Hong Kong
The Federation of Hong Kong Transport Workers' Organizations arranged for leafleting in the stations and has organised demonstrations at the depots to encourage non members into the union. The Action Day has also been used to highlight the recent problems with the platform screen doors as there have been several serious incidents recently. The union is trying to raise awareness regarding the merging of the two railway companies as this is of serious concern to the union members.  (Phone report by Mr. Wong)

Sri Lanka
The Sri Lanka Nidhas Rajaya Vurthiya Samithi Sammelanaya (Sri Lanka Independent State Employees' Federation) is holding meetings and seminars all over the country at depots and union offices.
