On 7 -13 October 2009, road transport unions and their members will come together to take part in the ITF International Road Transport Action Week.
Under the slogan "Organising Globally - Building Union Power", unions will organise a variety of activities to highlight important issues that affect road transport workers and to emphasize the importance of belonging to a union.
This popular campaign started in 1997 as an action day titled "Fatigue Kills! Cut Driving Hours Now". 90% of our unions have participated in this event at least once since then. A wide-range of activities take place during the week from demos and marches to safety insepctions and seminars.
