India

On 5 December, the DHL Union in Mumbai sent out an appeal to other unions representing workers in DHL, FedEX, UPS and TNT, calling on them to build national and global unity and to work in solidarity against the union busting policies that have been an ongoing problem in DHL in India. The union prepared a questionnaire, which 50 activists took out to workers in all four global delivery companies. FedEX, UPS and TNT are fairly new entrants to the Indian market and are still in the process of acquiring employees of all categories. The union used the action day to continue its ongoing effort to contact colleagues from these companies to explain to them their rights and encourage them to join a union.

France
CGT Transports distributed campaign postcards to workers at TNT, DHL and UPS, as well as to TNT national management in France. The union also stuck campaign parcel tape and stickers on packages.
