The International Transport Workers' Federation holds a congress every four years in accordance with the ITF Constitution, Rule IV, which states: "There shall be a Congress that shall have supreme authority. An Ordinary Congress shall take place every four years at a time and place to be decided by the Executive Board."

The next Congress of the ITF will take place in Mexico City from Thursday 5 August  - Thursday 12 August 2010
