The International Transport Workers' Federation holds a congress every four years in accordance with the ITF Constitution, Rule IV, which states: "There shall be a Congress that shall have supreme authority. An Ordinary Congress shall take place every four years at a time and place to be decided by the Executive Board."
The Next Ordinary Congress of the ITF shall take place on 2 - 9 August 2006 in Durban, South Africa.
