The ITF’s Tokyo Office has informed us of the death of Kazukiyo Doi, who died on 21 March at the age of 86.
Kazukiyou Doi served as president of the JSU, the All-Japan Seamen’s Union, and was chair of the ITF Asia Pacific Regional Committee from 1983 to 1990. Members of the Tokyo office passed on the ITF’s condolences to the widow of Mr Doi, whom ITF general secretary David Cockroft described as “a major figure in the ITF and a committed internationalist”.Section home:
