Participation
The ITF is committed to improving the participation of women and young workers in all its activities, and when deciding on your delegation to this meeting you are asked to ensure that women and young workers are appropriately represented. Affiliated unions able to send more than one participant may particularly wish to bear this in mind.

The ITF would also like to promote the participation of shop floor activists, as well as union leaders, therefore affiliated unions able to send more than one participant may wish to bear this in mind.

Accommodation

Interpretation
At present, we have arranged English, French, German and Spanish interpretation at the meeting. Please indicate which language you require when registering your participation. If you are requesting any other language at the time of registering please complete your registration no later than 16 March 2012 and the ITF will endeavour to meet your requirements.

Visas
Each delegate is strongly advised to check with their travel agent and the UK embassy in their own country whether they will require visas (including transit visas) to attend the meeting. If a letter is required to support an application for a visa, please notify the Secretariat as soon as possible. It is essential that you find out from the UK embassy, who should provide the letter and what information it should contain.

Assistance towards cost of attendance
Delegates attending the meeting will be responsible for their travel, accommodation and living expenses unless otherwise agreed in advance by the ITF. Affiliates who wish to attend the meeting, but are unable to meet the total cost of doing so should write to the Secretariat, ensuring that their request arrives no later than 16 March 2012.

In their application for assistance, affiliates should include the amount that they can afford from their own resources and the cost of an air ticket to and from London by the most economical route and class. Please note we will not assist delegates if their union is in arrears with affiliation fees. We will also only be able to assist one delegation per union.

Insurance
Please note that the ITF does not provide insurance cover for, and does not accept responsibility for, medical problems or losses incurred during travel to or from or during attendance at this meeting. You are strongly advised to take out appropriate travel insurance to provide this cover.
