We express our deep sadness at the news of the death of Bro. Farayi Makanda, a great trade union leader in the TGWU and the workers’ movement in Zimbabwe.
Bro. Makanda’s long service indicated his commitment to improving the lives of workers and their families. Bro. Makanda was a quiet and unassuming man but at the same time, the ITF and its affiliates know very well that Brother Makanda was a firm believer of workers' international solidarity.Section home:
